Professional Experience: |
Prior to my Master's, I have worked as Digital Marketing Manager and Project Manager. I took up these roles post my graduation in Psychology, and learnt to collaborate with varied and intercultural teams, prioritise under strict deadlines, deliver impactful presentations, and develop a client orientation. I effectively managed marketing campaigns, website design, and digital marketing plans (revenue generation, search engine optimisation, social media management, pay-per-click ad campaigns etc). I have also volunteered in diverse roles: designing and imparting lifeskills-based education curriculum to children from low-income communities, delivering digital literacy lessons in urban slum settlements, and brainstorming on project design with leaders from the social sector.

Education: |
My interest in understanding why we humans do the things we do culminated in a Bachelor's with Honours in Psychology from DU. Graduating with a first division with distinction, I learnt of the scientific method, research paradigms, stakeholder-based research methods, and statistics. It was the discipline of Social Psychology that I was most drawn to, as numerous real-life dilemmas - personal and those witnessed during volunteering - seemed amenable only when the unit of analyses was the society. This determined the choice of my Master's, after gaining professional experience in marketing and management - fields I was able to amply apply the principles of Psychology to.
During my Master's in Sustainable Development Practice at TERI SAS, I took courses such as Development Economics, Ecological Economics, Governance and Management of Natural Resources, and Organisational Behaviour. During field practicums, I conducted needs assessments with vulnerable communities in MP. My master's thesis on well-being of development project beneficiaries was conducted under a research grant from IFAD, and I worked with ILSP in Uttarakhand. I was university topper, and multiple research projects and collaborations with faculty helped me develop the skills of communications, research, writing, and stakeholder engagement. Throughout my education and professional roles, I have thrived in a communications capacity. I enjoy writing for and delivering ideas to groups small and large.

Affiliations and Achievements: |
Having witnessed the enormous capacity of the government machinery in the development sector, post my Master's I prepared full-time for the Indian Civil Service Examination. I was unsuccessful, but have learnt invaluable lessons in resilience and humility, in addition to a deep understanding of subjects such as the Indian polity, economy and society, international relations, foreign trade, ecology, to name a few. I am keen to showcase the value I can bring to organisations as a capable, proactive and empathetic professional, and demonstrate in interviews that the past few years studying have enriched, not curtailed my abilities.
